At Upper Room Music, we believe in the transformative power of music to communicate, inspire, and bring people together. We're all about fostering a life-long love of music while equipping our students with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to reach their various goals. Our individualized lessons provide a nurturing and creative environment where students of all ages and experience levels are empowered to reach their musical potential.
1. What types of lessons do you offer?
We offer guitar, piano, voice, and musical theatre/audition coaching.
2. Are your music lessons suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! We teach students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced musicians.
3. How long is each music lesson?
Our lessons are 30 minutes or 60 minutes long, depending on the student's level, goals, and preference.
4. Can I learn multiple instruments with Upper Room?
Of course! Often, students choose to enroll in two back-to-back lessons. For example 30 min of voice, followed by 30 min of piano.
5. Where are your in-person lessons?
We offer lessons at various locations in the Charlotte Metro area as well as in-home. Contact us to learn more about our availability in your location.
6. Do you offer online music lessons?
Yes, we do! We offer both in-person and online music lessons for your convenience.
7. Is it really possible to learn music virtually?
Yes, all Upper Room students receive the same high quality training whether they take lessons in-person or online. Our online lessons are very popular and as effective as in-person lessons.
8. What age groups do you teach?
We love working with students of all ages, from children as young as five to adults.
9. How often will I have lessons?
Most students opt for weekly lessons. This consistency is extremely helpful and highly encouraged. However, based on your goals and availability, we can accommodate other schedules as well.
10. Do I need to own an instrument to start lessons?
It's important to have access to your instrument, but if you're unsure about committing to one, we can discuss rental options or provide guidance on selecting the right instrument for you. For voice students, it is helpful to have a keyboard or piano, but not required.
11. How much do your music lessons cost?
We have several lesson packages available. Please contact us for detailed pricing information.
12. Do you do recitals or performances?
Yes, we organize recitals and other performances throughout the year. We love to give our students opportunities to build confidence, practice performance skills, and showcase their hard work.
12. What should I expect at my free trial lesson?
Our free 30 minute trial lessons are a great way for you to get to know us and see whether our studio is right for you. You'll start learning right away and we'll also talk with you about your goals and answer any questions you might have.
